Scenery, Seasons

The landscape and the natural heritage of the region of Kambos are inextricably linked to the human environment and they both delineate unique historical scenery. This unique landscape, to which travelers have already referred since the 15th century, featuring the orchards as "gardens" that even the east would envy, acquires a different character in the autumn when the moisture in orchards heralds the fruition of winter where fruits "hang like orange and yellow ornaments.

In spring, on the other hand, the blooming orchards is the reason why Chios was named after the byword Myrovolos (it means that the trees release a very special fragrance), while in summer the gardens by the operation of the irrigation system of manganese and wells and the sounds they produce compose a picture where every season has its own identity and uniqueness.
